A 1000mAh battery in the Elf Bar AF5500 goes a full day for most MTL vapers. That's nearly double what the AF5000 had at 650mAh, so you're not running flat halfway through the afternoon like the old one sometimes did.

USB-C on the base takes roughly an hour to charge from empty. The LED on the front tells you where you're at with the battery. No cable in the box though, so any USB-C phone charger does the job.

QUAQ Mesh Coil and Auto-Refill

Inside each Elf Bar AF5500 pod there's a 1.2ohm QUAQ mesh coil that heats e-liquid across a wider surface than a standard round coil would. In practice that means the flavour doesn't tail off towards the end of the pod the way it can with cheaper kits.

E-liquid management is handled by the auto-refill container. The 10ml container sits in the base and feeds liquid up into the 2ml pod through capillary action as you vape. You'll spot small bubbles rising through the see-through body when it's working. Between the pod and container you've got 12ml of ElfLIQ nic salt, which is where the approximately 5,500 puff count comes from.

One thing worth knowing: this is a prefilled kit, not a refillable one. You can't open the pods or top them up with your own e-liquid. When everything's empty you swap in a fresh Elf Bar AF5500 refill pod set and you're good to go again.

How to Set Up the Elf Bar AF5500 Prefilled Pod Kit

1. Take the Elf Bar AF5500 kit and refill the container out of the box.
2. Unscrew the lid from the 10ml container but leave the rubber stopper underneath it.
3. Pull the silicone bung out of the base of the AF5500 kit.
4. Push the container into the base until you feel it click.
5. Turn the whole thing upside down and leave it for about 5 minutes. 
6. Flip it back upright, wait another 30 seconds, then draw on the mouthpiece.
7. When the pod runs empty, pull it out and slot a fresh Elf Bar AF5500 refill pod in the same way.

No USB-C cable in the box. Grab one from a phone charger or order separately.
